The South Central Institute of Technology work with a consortium of world-leading brands, including Microsoft, to provide higher level technical qualifications and a real-world learning experience.  Clarity were approached to give their Bletchley Campus a professional and modern lighting system in their Hub.

They wanted a combination ambient, effect and Front of House lighting scheme utilising stage lighting luminaires mounted on their two hoisted trusses.

We gave them a totally LED, colour changing lighting system with a mixture of lantern types, including white light and colour changing Fresnels and Profiles.  There are many advantages of LED over older halogen systems but the major advantage is that most LED lanterns can be changed remotely to any colour beam.  In addition dimmer packs are not required.  LED lanterns operate at lower temperatures and are far cheaper to run with low power consumption.  LEDs will last at least 20,000 hours whereas conventional lamps last on average about 300 to 500 hours, reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

We installed a Chamsys QuickQ Rack lighting control module.  This is a small control designed to operate as a remote system without physical user control.  It features 10 playback/execute buttons on the unit and is ideal for installations, control rooms and bars. The unit can be used as a desktop box or rack mounted.  To complement this rack we installed a Chamsys 10Scene Wall Plate that features ten 10-Scene trigger buttons, with dual colour LED status indication.

Clarity completed the installation with system commissioning and client training.
