Saffron Walden Golf Club

Essex

Set in the picturesque surroundings of Audley End’s famous mansion, Saffron Walden Golf Club boasts superb views over the historic market town of Saffron Walden.

As well as a 140-person capacity clubhouse the Club also has a private function room seating up to 24 people and both spaces have audio visual systems.

When the Club got in touch with Clarity they told us that they were currently using a single projector and sharing it between three spaces, two of which were in the clubhouse and one in the meeting room.  This was not an ideal situation, plus in both areas there were a number of video connectivity issues, with the need to update to HDMI cabling and provide audio feeds into pre-existing sound systems.

Function Room
The two existing projector locations in the function room were suspended below low beams, creating a less than optimal head clearance when the projector was in place and leaving untidy cabling when they were not.

We therefore suggested a solution of two permanently fixed Epson 6,200 lumen laser widescreen projectors dedicated to each screen, that could be mounted above the bottom of the beams to make their presence less obvious.

For the video system infrastructure we also included two new HDMI connection points, one for each of the screens.

Meeting Room
For this space we suggested the use of a smaller format 5,200 lumen laser projector which we ceiling mounted in a similar location to the existing point.  We again swapped out the existing connection point for the same unit used in the function room and connected the audio to the pre-existing wall mounted amplifier.

All connectivity issues were resolved at the time of installation.
